Em programa duplo, o Camaleão Grupo de Dança apresenta-se no Memorial Vale, no domingo, dia 11 de setembro, às 11h, o espetáculo “Verga” e, em seguida, será exibida uma sessão do vídeo dança “Veias Abertas”. Os espetáculos integram o projeto Contemporâneo. A entrada é gratuita com retirada de ingressos uma hora antes do início, sendo no máximo um par de ingressos por pessoa. Os lugares são limitados.
O Camaleão Grupo de Dança foi fundado em 1984 pela diretora Marjorie Quast. O grupo transforma sua dança ao longo dos anos, investindo em novos caminhos e novas possibilidades de pesquisa e criação. Possui 20 montagens assinadas por 13 profissionais nacionais e internacionais, somando mais de 50 prêmios ao longo desses anos.
O espetáculo “Verga” se enverga em movimento contínuo de fusão do conhecimento e da ação, do profano e do sagrado, do feminino e do masculino, da luta e da dança. O trabalho transita entre a resistência e a liberdade, onde resistir não significa apenas reagir, mas também criar. Para discutir essas questões, o grupo se apoia nas linguagens que vem investigando, principalmente a capoeira. Durante quatro anos, o elenco do Camaleão pesquisou os movimentos da Capoeira através da condução de Mestre Agostinho (Grupo Ginga – BH/MG). “Verga” leva para as ruas, praças e locais abertos uma maneira criativa de resistir. O espetáculo, que conta com direção artística e coreográfica de Inês Amaral, foi construído através de um processo de criação colaborativo.
"Veias Abertas" é um vídeo dança que mostra - através dessa energia que move o mundo -, um corpo que percorre as águas, as montanhas, a terra, as comunidades, a história. Queremos saber como correm as águas, porque seu movimento nos instiga a refletir sobre os nossos próprios movimentos e vislumbrar o nosso futuro. As paisagens nos comovem. Expressam o potencial da terra e a nossa própria natureza. Somos corpos, somos águas. O movimento corre como Rio, como o sangue nas veias. Este curta metragem surgiu a partir de expedições por cidades ribeirinhas do Rio das Velhas. Além de percorrer essas regiões, se relacionar com as comunidades, com o Rio, a obra se estende sobre a importância da preservação dos rios, tendo como foco o Rio das Velhas, que é o principal abastecedor de água da região metropolitana de BH.
"Veias Abertas" tem direção geral de Marjorie Ann Quast, direção artística de Inês Amaral, direção de vídeo e coreográfica de Jorge Garcia e roteiro de Jorge Garcia, Inês Amaral, Luciana Lanza, Fábio Costa, Eliatrice Gischewski, Samuel Samways e Glaydson Oliveira (Índio). A produção é de Alexandre Abrahão e o social media de Yasmine Rodrigues.
