Em procissão, as imagens serão levadas da Catedral Basílica Nossa Senhora da Assunção - Sé até o Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Carmo.
São Roque é um grande Padroeiro para a Igreja Católica e possui uma importante história para os devotos marianenses. Há mais de 250 anos, a cidade de Mariana adquiriu as imagens de São Roque, Anjo e Cachorro, uma representação como objeto de fé. A imagem foi restaurada e agora será levada em procissão pelas ruas da cidade histórica.
No Dia de São Roque, celebrado nesta terça-feira (16/08) de agosto, as imagens serão levadas em procissão da Catedral Basílica Nossa Senhora da Assunção - Sé até o Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, às 18h30. Além disso, acontecerá também a celebração da Missa em louvor ao Santo. Para encerrar o momento, haverá um concerto com o Quinteto de Metai. Não perca!
Processo de restauração
A restauração das imagens foi patrocinada pelo COMPAT - Conselho Municipal do Patrimônio Cultural, através do FUMPAC - Fundo Municipal de Preservação do Patrimônio Cultural de Mariana, e foi pontuada no ICMS cultural. As imagens ficarão expostas temporariamente no Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Carmo até o término das obras da Igreja de São Francisco de Assis, local original da sua permanência.
